Anh phê chuẩn IELTS phục vụ cho việc du học và di trú

Chính phủ Anh đã công bố những thay đổi quan trọng trong việc khảo thí ngôn ngữ phục vụ việc nộp đơn xin thị thực, giảm bớt số lượng kỳ thi được chấp nhận cho mục đích xin thị thực và áp dụng những tiêu chuẩn mới trong cách thức làm bài thi.

Theo đó, hệ thống IELTS – kỳ thi tiếng Anh phổ biến phục vụ cho việc du học và di trú – đã được phê chuẩn và là cơ sở cấp chứng chỉ công nhận trình độ tiếng Anh của ứng viên nộp hồ sơ xin thị thực vào nước Anh.

Với quyết định này, IELTS tiếp tục giữ vai trò quan trọng trong lĩnh vực khảo thí ngôn ngữ phục vụ mục đích nhập cư tại Anh và các nước khác, bao gồm Australia, Canada và New Zealand.

Theo cách thức mới, các kỳ thi IELTS phục vụ việc nộp đơn xin thị thực sẽ được tổ chức quanh năm tại hơn 100 địa điểm chính trên khắp thế giới, và một kỳ thi mới – các Kỹ năng sống – sẽ được giới thiệu đến với những người cần chứng minh kỹ năng nghe, nói của mình ở cấp độ A1 hoặc B1 của Khung đánh giá trình độ ngôn ngữ chung của Châu Âu (CEFR).

Các kỳ thi IELTS vì mục đích xin thị thực chỉ có thể được tiến hành tại các trung tâm được ủy quyền và trung tâm đó phải tuân thủ các quy trình do chính phủ Anh quy định.

Những học sinh, sinh viên đang nộp hồ sơ xin thị thực sinh viên Bậc 4 để học đại học hoặc sau đại học tại các Trường có độ tín nhiệm cao (Highly Trusted Sponsor, HTS) được yêu cầu phải đáp ứng trình độ tiếng Anh do trường đề ra.

Các sinh viên có thể nộp đơn với kết quả IELTS do bất kỳ cơ sở nào trong số 1.000 địa điểm khảo thí IELTS trên khắp thế giới, ngoại trừ trường hợp do yêu cầu đặc thù, trường có thể có yêu cầu bổ sung.

Các quy tắc xin thị thực sinh viên Bậc 4, tại thời điểm viết, có nêu chi tiết các phương thức cụ thể khi nộp hồ sơ đăng ký học với các Trường có độ tín nhiệm cao (HTS), được liệt kê trong liên kết này.

IELTS là Hệ thống Kiểm tra tiếng Anh Quốc tế, kỳ thi kiểm tra trình độ tiếng Anh phổ biến nhất thế giới dành cho giáo dục bậc cao và di dân toàn cầu với hơn 2,5 triệu kỳ thi đã diễn ra trong năm qua.

Hơn 9.000 tổ chức đã tin tưởng và chấp nhận IELTS làm chứng chỉ an toàn, hợp lệ và tin cậy về khả năng giao tiếp thực bằng tiếng Anh để đủ tiêu chuẩn học tập, nhập cư và công tác.

IELTS được đồng sở hữu bởi Hội đồng Anh, IDP: IELTS Australia và Cambridge English Language Assessment.
